Community Fundraising Manager

WR Fundraising Recruitment is delighted to be working with a local health charity. We have an exciting Community Fundraising Manager vacancy for an experienced community fundraiser to lead a friendly team and help the charity achieve its income targets within the local area covering Oxfordshire.


At an exciting time of development, we are looking for a fundraiser to develop and maintain a busy schedule of community fundraising in order to raise funds and increase participation amongst our supporters and volunteers.


Duties will include:

  • Responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of community fundraising activities

  • Manage existing fundraising relationships and activities and is responsible for the development and implementation of new relationships and activities with existing and new supporters

  • Establishing new relationships in the community including with regional businesses and guiding their fundraising activity in line with legislation and good practice

  • Working with internal partners including retail and family support teams to develop committed fundraising relationships

  • Promoting fundraising activity in the community including events and fundraising products including legacy giving

  • Working with our existing volunteers to develop fundraising in the community


This is a very exciting role within the fundraising department and we are looking for candidates with a strong record of achievement supervising teams of volunteers within community fundraising.


The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience working with community fundraising in a similar role

  • Experience of working with volunteers

  • Confident communicator with the public, with ability to positively influence and persuade people to support your own ideas

  • Relationship management skills: be able to develop relationships with different audiences, influence and guide the fundraising activity of others.

  • Business acumen: be able to identify income generating opportunities

  • Networking skills: be able to represent the charity, demonstrate impact, build connections

  • Creativity: be able to promote and develop ideas in line with the charity’s brand and inspire supporters in the community to support the charity
