Corporate Partnerships Fundraiser

Are you an experienced Corporate Partnerships Fundraiser looking to take both the next step in your career and looking for development? Perhaps you have experience working closely with internal teams and departments and working to income targets? 

WR Fundraising Recruitment is looking for a Corporate Partnerships Fundraiser to join a well-known charity in Southampton. This exciting role will be leading on identifying and developing new and existing relationships with corporate partners and prospects. You will need to be skilled at business development and relationship management, create proposals, reports and presentations and a confident communicator, experienced track record in business development, you will be a collaborative and adaptable corporate partnerships fundraiser, with a strong team ethic and determination to get results.

Key responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Identify, research and approach prospective contacts to build relationships and generate maximise business income

  • Support, maintain and build upon existing corporate partnerships

  • Gain a deep understanding of the charity programmes, projects and events so you can create and prepare interesting proposals, reports and presentations

  • Take responsibility for contacts and accurately recording all correspondence

  • Secure participants for the charity’s events

  • Maintain a database of donors to thank for their gifts and create reports as and when needed

  • Provide administrative support related to corporate and trust income generation, such as researching and sourcing materials and preparing invoices


The ideal candidate for this role will:

  • Must be remuneratively driven with a proven track record in business development

  • Must be a strong understanding of managing charity/corporate partnerships and sponsorship agreements

  • Must be confident at approaching new business prospects on the telephone, face-to-face and in writing

  • Must have excellent networking skills

  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to people at all levels and to represent the charity in person

  • Must have excellent writing skills with the ability to write accurate, powerful, compelling and persuasive copy in a range of formats e.g. proposals, reports, brochures and posters/flyers

  • Must have an educated to degree level or equivalent in experience

  • Ideally experience in working in a busy corporate fundraising environment

  • Ideally experience of using Raisers’ Edge or another CRM database

  • Ideally a good understanding of Corporate Social Responsibility, corporate community engagement initiatives and established corporate fundraising techniques

  • Ideally experience of working for a charity and an understanding of charity law
