WR Fundraising Recruitment is delighted to be working with a local health charity, looking for a Digital Fundraising Executive to work closely with the Director of Fundraising and Marketing and Individual Giving team – taking a leading role in developing, creating and implementing all our digital fundraising activities, appealing to new, lapsed and current supporters


At an exciting time of development, we are looking for an experienced digital fundraising professional to communicate the charity’s work to a wide variety of stakeholder groups, encouraging them to support and donate.


Duties will include:

  • Implementing and optimising online supporter journeys, devising digital donor acquisition and retention programmes

  • Evaluating campaigns, analysing results and making recommendations to the senior management team to improve the charity's digital performance.

  • Spearhead the development and implementation of new ways of giving via mobile devices including via text and apps and you’ll develop contactless options for all aspects of fundraising

  • Recruiting new donors and regenerating lapsed donors and enhancing our traditional direct marketing appeals and campaigns with integrated digital marketing plans to generate incremental income

  • Implement targeted innovative activities to build awareness that drives web visits and donations via SEO, PPC, On-Line Advertising, Social Media

  • Ensure campaigns and activities are achieving acceptable Return on Investment

  • Lead on the development, testing and implementation of contactless collections

  • Work with Marketing and Communications to plan in social media activity for Lottery, Regular Giving, Appeals, Raffles, In-Memoriam Giving

  • Use Google Analytics and other data sources to identify trends and recommend subsequent optimisations for digital fundraising content


This is a very exciting role within the fundraising department and we are looking for candidates with a strong record of achievement in digital fundraising.


The ideal candidate will have:

  • A substantial track record in digital fundraising

  • Experience of campaign planning from briefing to execution

  • Experience of writing and editing digital content across web, email and social media

  • Fully conversant with social media, SEO/PPC (Google AdWords) and Dotmailer

  • Excellent knowledge of social media platforms, SEO, analytics, online advertising, CMS systems, , Google AdWords and Analytics

  • Good experience using digital communications to promote campaigns with first class writing and editing skills and experience developing accessible copy for different audiences. 

  • Knowledge and understanding of digital fundraising best practice including optimisation, conversion and persuasion techniques

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to proof read accurately

  • Experience of budgeting and cost control at a campaign level
