Charity Events Manager

WR Fundraising Recruitment is delighted to be working with one of the UK’s fastest growing charities.

At an exciting time of development that includes new state of the art premises, we are recruiting for a Charity Events Manager to join its small, friendly event team.


We’re looking for an event sales and management professional with experience to deliver a diverse range of events from gala balls to challenge fundraising events, taking responsibility for an existing portfolio of and generating new events for the charity – including sales, P&L and the overall success of the events.


Duties will include:

  • Ensure each event meets the expectations of the charity and the guest or sponsor

  • Contribute to the organisation of the charity's annual ball in London alongside the wider events and charity team.

  • Research and present event ideas, structure, concepts and proposals

  • Create new events and challenges, add to existing events and support 'in aid of' events

  • Increase participation across a series of challenge events such as Skydives, Shark Dives, Treks, etc. through active marketing

  • Research and present fundraising events to Corporates to gain sponsorship for events.

  • Support the event sales team in selling tables, teams and places

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced events professional, with a proven track record of delivering profitable events.


Applicants will need:

  • Experience of managing events and/or challenges

  • Ability to use commercial acumen to sell events – tickets, sponsorship, etc.

  • Demonstrable experience of managing multiple events / projects / campaigns with competing deadlines

  • Experience of managing and marketing a range of events/challenges

  • Excellent relationship building skills.

  • Full, clean driving licence, willingness to travel through the UK to attend events including hours outside of the usual 9to5
