Fundraising Manager

WR Fundraising Recruitment have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced fundraiser to take on an exciting role with an educational charity working with children across the UK in disadvantaged areas to address inequality in learning.

 

We are looking for someone passionate and resourceful who can realise the potential in this young and ambitious charity, which has excellent levels of support and has seen impressive growth in income. You will need to be a versatile fundraiser, able to develop income across trusts and statutory sources alongside partnerships and major donors. There is potential for some home-working and flexibility around working times.

 

Key responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Build relationships with a wide range of trust and statutory funders securing income for key projects

  • Work alongside the Development Director to develop an effective pipeline of potential donors across a range of sources

  • Identify potential opportunities through corporate partnerships and CSR initiatives, building a range of commercial supporters

  • Nurturing donor relationships through monitoring, evaluating, and reporting to key stakeholders

  • Lead on organising a range of events for donors and supporters, both internally and externally

  • Identify opportunities to raise awareness of the charity’s work across a range of audiences

 

The ideal candidate for this role will:

  • Be an experienced fundraiser with expertise in trusts, foundations, and statutory funding, and experience in other forms of income generation, such as corporate partnerships

  • Be a brilliant communicator, with exceptional written and spoken English

  • Be able to demonstrate knowledge of donor stewardship and effective account management

  • Be a driven self-starter, able to work independently and manage a varied and diverse project portfolio

  • Be excited about the organisation, the opportunities it presents, and the impact your work will have
