Fundraising Manager

WR Fundraising Recruitment has a very exciting and truly unique Fundraising Manager role for a growing educational and employment charity in Guildford.

 

Working with the CEIO and as part of a small office team in a new role, we’re looking for an experienced fundraising professional to take responsibility for income generation from trusts & foundations, corporate partnerships and some major donors.

 

You will have the opportunity to develop the fundraising strategy and bring your own ideas to the table while managing key relationships with a very solid portfolio of supporting trusts, major donors and corporate partners.

  

Duties will include:

  • Build relationships and income from new and existing trust and foundations, corporate partnerships and major donors

  • Research and develop relationships to secure fundraising opportunities

  • Write tailored, inspirational fundraising applications and project reports addressing grant-making priorities or requirements as specified

  • Produce high quality written proposals and make verbal presentations tailored specifically to inspire and captivate major donors or corporate partnerships

  • Develop and maintain reporting and application systems and coordinate information across the team

 

We are looking for someone passionate and resourceful who can realise the potential in this young and ambitious charity, which has excellent levels of support and has seen impressive growth in income. You will need to be a versatile fundraiser, able to develop income across trusts and statutory sources alongside partnerships and major donors.

 

Applicants will need:

  • Experience of developing and implementing trust, foundation and/or major donor fundraising programmes.

  • Experience of developing income from trusts, foundations and grant-giving bodies

  • Experience of fundraising prospect research across any of the following: individual giving, major donors, major gifts, philanthropy, high net worth individuals, corporate partnerships or trusts & grants

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for a wide range of audiences

  • Demonstrable ability to develop relationships with grant-making organisations

  • Hold a full UK driving licence and be prepared to travel as required.
