You will be taking ownership of the process from the early stages identifying potential donors, through to stewarding long-term relationships that will impact on local communities around the UK.

Key responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Leading on the development of a range of trust and corporate partnerships with direct management of a diverse and exciting portfolio of existing funders.

  • Building on existing relationships to develop further support and long-term commitments

  • Working closely with the Development Director to drive forward the current and future fundraising strategy

  • Working collaboratively across the organisation to build compelling fundraising proposals that bring together donors, supporters, and beneficiaries effectively

  • Developing and delivering engaging presentations that present a strong case for support and appeal to a broad range of funders

  • Engaging with the organisation’s supporters through a range of events to public and private audiences, supporting the stewardship of donors and developing new prospects

The ideal candidate for this role will:

  • Have proven experience in securing funding from trusts, foundations, and corporate partners

  • Be an outstanding communicator, skilled at writing compelling proposals, and delivering high quality presentations.

  • Be able to demonstrate experience of all stages of donor stewardship

  • Be an excellent researcher, able to identify prospective partners and sources of funding

  • Have keen insight into corporate social responsibility, and the trends around high-value gifts and sponsorships

  • Be a persuasive and diplomatic manager, who can develop and manage long-term relationships with donors and supporters from a diverse background

  • Be highly organised, able to plan, prioritise, and work to agreed timelines
