Fundraising Manager

WR Fundraising Recruitment have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced fundraiser to take on an exciting role with an international health charity. Working on developing a range of income streams from trusts to partnerships, alongside an established community programme, this role will be pivotal in supporting the overall aims of the organisation to extend their work both in reach and scope.


We are looking for someone passionate and creative who can realise the potential in this ambitious and popular charity, which has a growing public profile. This is an agile organisation, able to move quickly on opportunities, and will suit a dynamic hands-on fundraiser, able to see opportunities and action them. There is potential for some home-working and excellent flexibility around working times.


Key responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Build relationships with a wide range of trust and statutory funders securing income for the UK and overseas projects

  • Identify potential opportunities through corporate partnerships and CSR initiatives, building a range of commercial supporters

  • Work alongside the CEO and Communications Director to develop an effective fundraising strategy that will convert media profile into income

  • Line manage a Community Fundraiser, and oversee all individual giving and community income streams

  • Develop extensive networks through a wide range of on and offline channels that lead to financial support or medical supplies/equipment to support the charity’s work

  • Act as an ambassador for the charity at events, expos, and trade conferences, developing relationships and raising awareness of the charity’s work

  • Demonstrate impact through quantitative and qualitative reporting

The ideal candidate for this role will:

  • Be an experienced fundraiser with expertise in trusts, foundations, and statutory funding, and experience in other forms of income generation, such as corporate partnerships

  • Have a track record of working at a senior level, designing and delivering an effective fundraising strategy

  • Be a brilliant communicator, with exceptional written and spoken English

  • Be able to demonstrate knowledge of donor stewardship and effective account management

  • Be a driven self-starter, able to work independently and manage a varied and diverse project portfolio

  • Be excited about the organisation, the opportunities it presents, and the impact your work will have
