Fundraising Manager

This exciting role will support the work of a community charity directly improving lives impacted by social and economic inequality. As Fundraising Manager with direct oversight of all trust and foundation income, you will be working closely with the Development Director and CEO on securing income for communities in East London, working with young people and women of all ages to deliver positive outcomes in education and employment.

Key responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Researching and writing compelling applications for funding with Trusts and Statutory Foundations.

  • Lead on developing partnerships across the statutory sector, securing funding from public sector funders such as the ESFA, DWP, Cabinet Office and local authorities.

  • Develop and strengthen partnerships with other training sector organisations, ensuring partnership working on consortium funding bids, including writing City Gateway led bids.

  • Arranging volunteering opportunities for our partners that serve the organisations needs and build stronger relationships with the partners.

  • Build strong relationships with the wider organisation and develop knowledge of both of our programmes, effectively communicating their stories and impact to partners.

 

The ideal candidate for this role will:

  • Have experience of trust and foundation fundraising, ideally with education or youth organisations

  • Be a talented writer, able to produce an engaging and compelling narrative

  • Be experienced in researching, forming, managing and developing accounts with corporate partners and foundations

  • Be a brilliant communicator, able to present to a wide range of supporters and stakeholders

  • Be highly organised with excellent attention to detail, able to manage multiple projects

  • Be a confident relationship builder and ambassador who is proactive and self-motivated

  • Focus on solutions, being innovative and creative to overcome challenges
