Head of Curriculum – Charity

A London charity transforming lives impacted by social and economic inequality is looking for an exceptional individual to take up the role of Head of Curriculum. This leadership role will oversee the delivery of a range of educational programmes at the only charity in London providing an end to end service for disadvantaged young people and women to get them into full-time employment in 12/18 months.

 

You will be the Ofsted nominee for an organisation with an ‘outstanding’ rating, and form a crucial part of the operational leadership team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality educational programmes. Responsible for managing and developing the overall curriculum, you will be leading a team of tutors delivering the highest standards of education across all aspects of the charity’s work. 

Key responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Ensuring the delivery of teaching and learning is responsive to learning needs, and maintained at an excellent standard.

  • Develop an outstanding curriculum alongside the Executive team, ensuring it meets organisational objectives and stakeholder needs

  • Managing the charity self-assessment and quality improvement processes, ensuring the development of CPD programmes for staff

  • Delivering continued improvements in the outcomes of learners through operational and quality planning

  • Sharing best practice across all learning pathways, and driving an aligned approach in teaching and learning

  • Work with the Director of Programmes to plan, budget, and deliver on action plans

  • Identifying opportunities for improvement and empower staff to own and lead on initiatives to drive positive change

  • Encouraging the use of data alongside quality metrics to evaluate and inform changes and developments to operations

 

The ideal candidate for this role will:

  • Have experience of working in the HE or FE sector, and hold a recognised teaching qualification

  • Be a proven leader and manager with experience of strategic planning, budgeting, and people management

  • Have experience dealing with Ofsted and QAA at a key level

  • Have a track record of successfully implementing quality systems, improving teaching and learning

  • Be an outstanding and inspiring communicator, with excellent presentation skills and a strong analytical approach

  • Personable, resilient, and an ambassador for the ethos, mission, and values of the organisation
