Individual Giving and Community Fundraising Manager

WR Fundraising Recruitment is delighted to be working with one of the UK’s most innovative Mental Health charities. Working alongside the Director of Development is seeking an Individual Giving and Community Fundraising Manager. to develop fundraising income and diversify the organisation’s donor base.


This role will work with and develop excellent working relationships with all internal colleagues and external contacts as and when required. It will lead a team responsible for Individual, Community, Schools/University, In Memory, sponsorship events and Legacy fundraising including responsibility for strategy, and developing proposals for investment for long term fundraising growth across these areas.


Duties will include:

  • Implement and continuously develop the Individual Giving and Community Fundraising strategy to meet financial targets and achieve long term income growth through donor acquisition and improved supporter engagement.

  • Create development pathways across all supporter journeys that yield increased numbers of supporters, volunteers and increased income.

  • Line-manage and support the Individual Giving and Community Fundraising staff and any interns and volunteers, including setting objectives, monitoring delivery of objectives, monitoring training and development needs.

  • Oversee the income and expenditure budget for all activity in this area.

  • Provide fundraising content for YM e-newsletter and website and oversee the rest of the team’s input.

  • Support wider departmental development by feeding into supporter development and income growth plans across all income lines.

  • Support wider organisational development by supporting fundraising offers that align with other departments objectives.


Applicants will need:

  • Senior level with proven experience of individual giving and/or community and event fundraising, including creating and implementing strategies, ensuring sustainable growth of income.

  • Proven and demonstrable experience of recruiting, managing and motivating individual giving fundraisers and of donor development.

  • Experience of working across an organisation to achieve agreed income targets and of working in a multi-disciplinary fundraising team.

  • Experience of managing or supervising staff and /or volunteers and developing clear, robust plans for self and others to follow.

£34,800 - £38,700 depending on experience
