Individual Giving / Supporter Engagement Coordinator

WR Fundraising Recruitment has a very exciting and truly unique Individual Giving / Supporter Engagement fundraising role.

 

Working as part of a small office team in a new role, we’re looking for an experienced individual giving fundraising professional to take responsibility for developing donor relationships and maximise income from supporters

The majority of supporter income is generated through new and existing supporters' cash donations and regular gifts. Other supporter income streams include: community fundraising, events, fundraising affinity schemes, and legacies.

 

Duties will include:

  • Developing and maintaining supporter relationships to ensure increased and repeat donations as well as wider supporter involvement

  • Maximising income from newly implemented regular giving mechanisms

  • Maximise donation income from the supporter base in line with financial needs.

  • Recruit and retain supporters to targets set and agreed with the Supporter Recruitment & Retention working group.

  • Maximise income through online presence, e.g. through using social media, online advertising and petitions on external sites. This would also include testing new digital channels for recruiting supporters.

  • Develop strategies for utilising fundraising supporter database (CiviCRM) as a fundraising tool.

  • Producing and administering regular supporter appeals.

  • Develop materials for different stages of supporters' journeys, and organising their distribution

  • Provide income reports and analysis as and when it is appropriate.

 

We are seeking candidates with a strong record of achievement in individual giving or supporter led fundraising for this exciting opportunity. The role is key to the development of this innovative organisation’s strategy.

 

Applicants will need:

  • Relevant fundraising experience and a proven record of success in supporter fundraising, including having developed and implemented fundraising strategies.

  • Experience of sending out direct mail and email appeals using a supporter database.

  • Skills in using digital channels for fundraising and recruiting supporters.

  • Relevant experience of developing and delivering creative and innovative methods of engaging new and existing donors/customers

  • Ability to produce high quality marketing materials using a range of media (well- developed creative writing skills)

  • Experience of working with external suppliers including direct marketing agencies to deliver fundraising objectives

  • Experience of using a relationship database, such as Raiser’s Edge including knowledge and experience of the principles of database, direct marketing and donor acquisition, retention / development
