Legacy Fundraising Executive

WR Fundraising Recruitment is delighted to be working with one of the capital’s most recognised charities. We have an exciting Legacy Fundraising Manager vacancy for an experienced legacy fundraising professional to manage the legacy and in memory giving functions through hands on relationship building, legacy marketing and events, and the management of volunteers.

Duties to include:

  • Manage and nurture supporters through e-mail, telephone, written proposals, site visits and other forms of communication with the aim of ensuring their on-going and increasing support

  • Researching, identifying and applying to/approaching existing and new legators.

  • Work in collaboration staff and volunteers across with the fundraising / individual giving team, to implement legacy and in memory strategies

  • Work with marketing staff to ensure that legacies and in memory giving are promoted through the website, social media and supporter magazine where appropriate

  • Implement strategies to retain existing legators through effective account management and accurate/timely reporting.

  • Plan, develop, deliver and review In Memory offering/promotion

  • Regularly run legacy gift events and confidently give presentations to supporter groups

  • Meet directly with individuals who are interested in leaving a bequest

 

This is a very exciting role within the fundraising department and we are looking for candidates with a strong record of achievement within a legacy / individual giving fundraising role.

 

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Experience of legacy, in memory, or individual giving marketing and fundraising

  • Ability to develop meaningful and long-term relationships with supporters

  • Knowledge of principles of relationship marketing and donor care and Legacy marketing techniques

  • Proven knowledge of the legal aspects relating to gifts in Wills and gift aid

  • Ability to develop relationships with key stakeholders both internal & external.

  • Experience of working with and managing external fundraising agencies & suppliers

  • Experience of charity events
