Work Relief Charity Recruitment is proud to be working with one of the UK’s leading specialist health charities.

 

At an exciting time of development we are looking to recruit a Legacy and In-Memoriam Fundraising Manager to develop and implement the fundraising strategies designed to increase income from legacy, in-memoriam and tribute fund supporters for the charity. Working as part of the individual Giving Fundraising Team, you will oversee all stewardship and recruitment activities and will provide leadership for the development of these streams of activity.

 

Leading a small legacy fundraising team, duties to include:

  • Deliver all legacy, in-memory & tribute fund activities against agreed targets and KPI’s

  • Develop & deliver a strategic plan to increase legacy giving to the charity.

  • Strategically plan & develop the charity’s in- memoriam giving programmes, including Tribute Funds.

  • Develop integrated stewardship programmes/activities for all our in-memoriam, tribute fund and legacy supporters

  • Identify new routes, channels & audiences to promote activities and products amongst existing supporters and new prospects.

  • Ensure proper management of reporting and forecasting of budgets, participating in budgeting and financial management.

  • Work closely with external agencies and consultants to maintain value for money

  • Provide effective management and leadership, conducting regular performance and development reviews of staff within team.

  • Deliver timely, targeted, relevant and engaging communications to our various audiences,

  • Optimising training programmes and delivering events that promote gifts in Wills and in-memory giving. 

 

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Experienced in developing and implementing marketing/business plans,

  • extensive legacy fundraising knowledge

  • The ability to manage high-level communication programmes

  • Proven knowledge of the legal aspects relating to gifts in Wills and gift aid.

  • The ability to “sell” the concept of leaving a gift in a Will or a gift in-memoriam as well as writing and presenting strategy/project plans/reports.

  • Ability to develop relationships with key stakeholders both internal & external.

  • Experience & ability to manage staff.

  • Experience of developing/managing business plans & budgets as well as implementing project plans.

  • Experience of working in a Legacy & In-memoriam giving environment.

  • Experience of working to income & expenditure targets.

  • Experience of working with and managing external agencies & suppliers

  • An understanding of charity law in relation to legacy fundraising, gift aid, data and information management.
