Fundraising Manager

Are you a talented fundraiser and marketer with experience across several key income streams, such as corporates, philanthropy and trusts? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to take on a new role with a fantastic community charity as their Head of Marketing and Fundraising. You will be leading on a diverse portfolio, helping to shape strategy, inspire supporters, and lead by example, getting the best from your team and colleagues.

Key responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Shape and deliver the fundraising and marketing strategy, in line with organisational objectives and budgets

  • Drive forward the development of major donor relationships and corporate partnerships

  • Work collaboratively to identify prospects and convert them into effective partnerships

  • Identify new fundraising opportunities across a range of income streams

  • Create stewardship plans for supporters to drive engagement and collaborate on overall communications strategies, including content creation for on and offline channels

  • Line manage a small team working across trusts, foundations, and CRM management

  • Oversee effective use of the charity CRM ensuring it is kept accurate and relevant

  • Representing the charity to external audiences, engaging with potential and existing supporters, HNWI, and major donors

  • Support the overall evaluation strategy, developing reports on fundraising income and impact


The ideal candidate for this role will:

  • Have demonstrable experience of fundraising and management, with the ability to work across a multi-disciplinary team

  • Have a proven track record in achieving fundraising targets and securing donations from a range of sources, including individuals, corporates, legacies, and trusts

  • Have a high level of familiarity with the local area and community

  • Be a strong and versatile communicator, able to engage and inspire a range of audiences

  • Have a collaborative approach, able to line manage a team, and lead by example

  • Be flexible and adaptable, able to support the wider team when needed

  • Be highly organised and able to manage time through effective planning
