Regional Fundraiser

A fantastic children’s charity in Surrey is looking for a passionate fundraiser to join their team, covering the South West of England. Working with community groups, volunteers, and businesses across the region, this role is a vital link between the charity’s invaluable work and the large region they serve.


As well as building partnerships with donors, you will also be recruiting and developing fundraising volunteers, helping to secure income, raise awareness and build on existing fundraising levels. Helping to shape the regional fundraising strategy, the successful candidate will be managing events and working collaboratively with community teams to develop a long-term sustainable income stream.

Key responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Work with the Major Gift Manager and other team members to develop, implement and evaluate trust and grant making for the organisation.

  • Identify additional revenue streams and growth areas for Regional Fundraising in the South West, actively networking to raise awareness.

  • Develop and inspire new supporters; fundraising groups, volunteers and ambassadors, providing guidance and direction.

  • Research, approach and engage community groups and local supporters engaging their support to develop additional sources of income

  • Planning, managing and delivering community events aligned with business plan and budgets

  • Delivery of professional and inspiring presentations to a wide-ranging community audience

  • Research, approach and motivate stakeholders to gain their support through Charity of the Year relationships

  • Nurture long lasting relationships with donors, supporters, media representatives and suppliers


The ideal candidate for this role will:

  • Have experience of charity fundraising with responsibility for income and expenditure

  • Have experience in event management

  • Be an engaging and compelling public speaker and presenter

  • A confident networker and negotiator

  • A creative and innovative problem solver, with a keen focus on results and taking ownership for regional fundraising success

  • Be persuasive, able to influence others, engage commitment, and stimulate action

  • Be a champion of good fundraising principles and compliance

  • Skilled in MS Office and Database use
