Senior Fundraising Officer - Trusts and Foundations

WR Fundraising Recruitment have an exciting opportunity for a fundraiser with experience in trusts, foundations, and statutory to join a brilliant charity changing spaces and lives across London and the South of England.

 

Working with teams across the organisation, you will be leading on the research, proposal, and stewarding of major grants for large scale projects. You will also be leading your own team, providing experience and guidance in all aspects of trust and statutory funding. This dynamic role is well suited to an experienced trust fundraiser looking to step up into a senior position with real ownership of a wide-ranging portfolio, and responsibility for securing the ongoing impact of the charity across its field of work. 

 

Key responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Manage current large grants of 100k +, working collaboratively across teams and areas of operation on impact reporting and evaluation

  • Build relationships, multiyear partnerships and income from existing trusts and foundations

  • Research, develop and maintain new relationships to secure fundraising opportunities

  • Write tailored, inspirational applications and project reports addressing grant-making priorities or requirements as specified

  • Lead the development of internal working groups to identify new projects with robust fundraising potential

  • Develop and maintain reporting and application systems and coordinate information across the fundraising team

  • Liaise closely with senior managers and teams to plan and develop the strongest possible proposals and build relationships with existing and proposed partners

  • Evaluate, monitor and report back to supporters on projects throughout the process

 

The ideal candidate for this role will:

  • Have substantial experience in securing large (£100k +) awards for from trusts, foundations, and statutory funders

  • Be an experienced and resourceful researcher, able to identify opportunities for funding

  • Be a fast learner, able to quickly develop an understanding of complex challenges

  • Be highly organised, able to confidently work with financial data

  • A strong writer, able to produce concise and compelling content to deadlines

  • Be a real team player, able to lead by example and inspire others
