Strategic Fundraising Manager

WR Fundraising Recruitment is looking for a driven, ambitious, and talented fundraiser with a passion for mental health and a desire to work with a broad international project portfolio. This new role with a rapidly growing charity will be taking the lead on developing the donor portfolio, with a focus on major donors, trust and statutory, and corporate partnerships.

 

Working closely with the CEO, this hands-on role will be developing a robust fundraising strategy as part of a hugely passionate team, where collaborative working is a priority. It will be your role to harness the passion and knowledge of the team and stakeholders to develop a strong case for support and turn the organisation’s ambitions into attractive funding proposals. With scope for real growth, this exciting role will suit someone who thrives on variety and building long-term donor relationships.

 

Duties will include:

  • Development and delivery of an effective fundraising strategy

  • Research and development of potential income opportunities, with a focus on major donors, trusts, statutory and corporate income streams

  • Developing a donor stewardship programme, ensuring the management of existing and new supporters

  • Manage fundraising events to attract new prospects and engage with existing stakeholders

  • Oversee the implementation of a new CRM

  • Ensure the accurate reporting of impact to stakeholders and donors

  • Work closely with the CEO on nurturing key relationships and developing new partnerships

 

Applicants will need:

  • Proven experience as a successful fundraiser working across a range of significant income streams

  • Specific experience in philanthropy/major giving/trusts fundraising

  • Experience of campaign management, securing both restricted and unrestricted funding

  • An understanding of international campaigning and development challenges

  • To be a strong team player, considerate and collaborative

  • To enjoy working independently

  • Exceptional communication skills and an ability to convert a high volume of information into an effective case for support

  • A willingness to get involved in all aspects of fundraising as the team develops and grows

  • Passion and enthusiasm for the work of the charity
