Senior Events Officer

If so then WR Fundraising Recruitment are looking for an exceptional candidate to take up a Senior Events Officer role with a fantastic and popular animal welfare charity based in London.

With a diverse mixture of events, both onsite and external, this role is an excellent opportunity to have a real impact on the lives of animals, and to develop experience in the strategic and planning aspects of event organisation.

WR Fundraising believe in finding great candidates for brilliant organisations, and we are looking for someone with a background in organising charity events, confident in supporting volunteers, and able to work collaboratively to promote existing events and develop new initiatives.

 

We are looking for a candidate who is:

  • Experienced planning and coordinating a range of charity events

  • Confident in planning event budgets, delivering a cost-effective programme, and driven to exceed fundraising targets

  • Creative and innovative, able to think on their feet, and deal with the many varied challenges of event management

  • Able to demonstrate line management experience

  • A real team player, conscientious, enthusiastic, and able to positively influence others

 

Duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering a varied portfolio of events, maximising income and brand awareness

  • Develop an events plan in line with the overall fundraising strategy and organisational ethos

  • Delivering on set annual income targets for events and monitoring expenditure accordingly

  • Working with the Head of Fundraising and Major Donor Officer to develop a Major Donor event(s)

  • Coordination and development of a challenge events programme

  • Working with the marketing teams to deliver event communications and a celebrity liaison strategy for events

  • Line manage an Events Officer, providing leadership, direction and feedback together with the necessary support and development opportunities

  • Support event volunteers from recruitment to induction
