Trust Fundraiser

WR Fundraising Recruitment is proud to be working with an international children’s charity – developing a team of trusts & grants fundraising professionals to implement and develop a new started.

 

At a very exciting time for the fundraising team, we’re looking for an experienced Trust Fundraiser to work as part of a small, friendly team. We’re looking for an outgoing personality who will be keen to develop relationships internally and with external funders. In a varied role, the successful candidate will have the benefit of starting with a solid portfolio of existing grant givers, while working collaboratively with the team to identify and develop opportunities for further funding.

Duties will include:

  • Manage a portfolio of identified and new charitable trusts and grant making bodies

  • Research trust and grant making bodies' priorities and guidelines and match projects to funders and identify new funding opportunities

  • Generate fundraising income from key Trusts and Foundations and research potential new trusts and corporate foundations to develop a range of ongoing, beneficial partnerships.

  • Write compelling, detailed and highly tailored fundraising applications for funders.

  • Provide excellent customer service to funders ensuring the terms and conditions of grants are met and high quality narrative and financial reports are submitted

 

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Track record in winning funds through bids and applications to grant giving and statutory bodies

  • Experience of developing and writing high quality trust or statutory funding proposals

  • Experience of researching trusts, foundations, lottery and statutory funders and identifying fundraising opportunities

  • Experience of working across an organisation to develop funding proposals for new projects or areas of work.

  • Experience of building excellent relationships with external funding bodies

  • First class, demonstrable written communication skills with the ability to write compelling and innovative proposals and funding reports

  • Strong interpersonal, networking and relationship building skills as well as the ability to influence and motivate supporters at the most senior level.
