Trust & Statutory Fundraiser

WR Fundraising Recruitment is looking for a brilliant Trusts & Statutory Fundraiser to join a national charity supporting single parent families across the country. You will be leading on all aspects of trust and statutory fundraising, from building a pipeline of potential donors, through to stewardship of gifts, in a role that comes with high levels of flexibility for the right candidate.


As part of a collaborative team, you will also be working closely with colleagues to identify new and emerging income opportunities, steward and support donors, and ensure that impact is communicated effectively to supporters. Taking on the challenges of inequality and disadvantage, you’ll be joining a charity in its centenary year as they embark on an exciting new strategy. It is a fantastic opportunity for someone keen to make a real impact.


Duties will include:

  • Write tailored, inspirational applications and project reports addressing grant-making priorities or requirements as specified

  • Continually develop the prospect pipeline, identifying new trusts that may fund Gingerbread’s current and future work.

  • Lead on the coordination and writing of applications to trusts, corporate foundations, statutory funders and The National Lottery Community Fund - working collaboratively with colleagues from across the organisation

  • Research, bid writing, collation and completion of supplementary documents, presentation where required, and submission of bids through portals or similar means

  • Build and maintain good relationships with funders

  • Research, develop and maintain new relationships to secure fundraising opportunities

  • Maintain and deliver a schedule of applications and reporting to grant makers, including prospecting for new funders


Applicants will need:

  • Experience of writing compelling grant / trusts applications and ideally statutory funding applications

  • Experience of developing income from trusts, foundations and grant-giving bodies

  • Understanding and implementation of fundraising techniques and processes and the ability to deliver an effective case for support

  • Ability to write compelling and innovative proposals and funding reports

  • Proven experience of writing winning bids in a range of formats within the charity sector

  • First class, demonstrable written communication skills

  • Demonstrable ability to develop relationships with grant-making organisations

£29,000 - £33,500 per annum on experience
