WR Fundraising Recruitment is delighted to be working with a small, but rapidly expanding research charity. We are recruiting for a Trusts & Grants Fundraising Manager to work closely with the CEO and Director of Fundraising – taking a leading role in the development of trusts & foundation funding.


At an exciting time of development, we are looking for an experienced trusts and grants fundraising professional to assist in implementing the strategic plan for trust and statutory fundraising.


Duties will include:

  • Overarching responsibility for Trusts and Grants fundraising strategy

  • Work with the CEO and Director of Fundraising to develop and deliver strategies for fundraising from Trusts, Foundations and Corporate Foundations.

  • Raise fundraising income from key Trusts and Foundations and research potential new UK and international trusts and corporate foundations and corporate firms to develop a range of ongoing, beneficial partnerships.

  • Write compelling, detailed and highly tailored fundraising applications for funders.

  • Develop and write fundraising applications that sustain current programmes

  • Build and develop relationships with a portfolio of potential and strategically important grant and trust bodies

  • Maintain and deliver a pipeline of applications and reporting to grant makers, including prospecting for new funders


This is a very exciting role within the fundraising department and we are looking for candidates with a strong record of achievement in trust and foundation fundraising.


The ideal candidate will have:

  • Track record in winning funds through bids and applications to grant giving and statutory bodies

  • Experience of working across an organisation to develop funding proposals for new projects or areas of work.

  • Understanding and implementation of fundraising techniques and processes

  • Ability to write compelling and innovative proposals and funding reports

  • First class, demonstrable written communication skills

  • Ability to work harmoniously within a small team, with donors and operate within the senior management team

  • Ability to assess, comprehend and manage complex written and financial information quickly and accurately

  • Experience in project design, project proposal development and writing
